As you are reading,look for words that you are ‘unfamiliar with’ (words that if taken out of the text you could not define, even if you think you know what they mean). Write down the word, the book and sentence it was in. Then, based on the text, write down your definition for the word. Then write down an actual definition (from the dictionary, the internet, or a parent, etc.). You should be writing down 3-5 words per week.
